A good start to the day at Rics Garage for breakfast. Ric and Lisa have only to add a few finishing touches to their Dina it's looking great. The weather was perfect after a long spell of rain.
We had an awesome day starting with the quiet run up through Yandina and then across to Kenilworth and up the back road to Gympie, and what a good ride that is through there hardly any traffic, a few tight sections to sweeping corners through the foothills all good stuff. We fueled up at Gympie then headed down the Tin Can Bay road, we were running a bit late by this time, but who cares about time tables when you're out in the country on a good bike with the sun shining. So Jamie suggested the Silky Oaks Tea Rooms about halfway, aint no Tea Rooms though it's a bit like the back shed of the Ettamogah, what a find, good work Jamie I guess we'll be back there a bit. We stopped for half an hour or so, one of those places where you have to make a real effort to get out before you settle in. Went back through Gympie and then down the Travertson Road, another great road, to Boreen Point and the Apollonian. That spit roast they do on a Sunday has been on the menu for 20years and it's about as good as it gets.Great way to spend a Sunday!
