It's been difficult organizing rides these last months when the rain just keeps coming, so we get out with a day or two's notice when we get a bit of sun. A few of us went up to Tin Can Bay a couple of weeks back.
We only got dumped on once just as we came into Tin Can, and it was only a few k's of rain. Some of us rode from the shop and met up at Cooroy, we then took the road to Kin Kin and had a quick stop. The road from there through Cedar Pocket is a good ride, the road was in good condition considering the recent wet. Then onto Tin Can Bay for lunch at the RSL.
Tin Can back to Gympie is a good open road with not much traffic; it winds through some pine forest and open country and farm land. Always aware of the wild horse and kangaroo signs through that area. We've seen a few horses grazing on the roadside but thankfully not seen any crossing. Then it was down the highway back to the coast. It was good to get out, and after the April rain (which they say will be constant) we should get plenty of good riding in.
